Colour plays a huge part in my show. Every object in the show has a specific colour for a reason. Check out the vlog below to learn more!
Colour was something to consider when acting upon feedback from share back 3, in which I showed the entirety of the show to the best of my ability. One piece of feedback was that the staging for the library seemed a bit unclear. In the vlogs below, I address how I resolved this issue and how I used colour when staging the library scene.
The library plays a big part in the storyline. It's where Jen tries and fails to hold a conversation with Maisy, but it is also where she goes at the end of the show to ask Maisy if she wants to get a coffee with her sometime. Jen also creates a fantasy library when Jen the Knight and Princess Maisy plan to meet before running away together. This scene in particular is important as it gives the storyline a positive lift. Jen has been very distressed in the past couple of scenes and I didn't want the show to feel too dark. By having this happy scene in between darker scenes, it will hopefully prevent the audience from feeling triggered. It also shows how unpredictable anxiety can be. One minute Jen is happy, the next she is on edge and feeling terrible about herself.

This is a rehearsal photo of Jen in her fantasy library. She is reading the letter from Princess Maisy. I really like this image as it shows Jen in a happy place and she is surrounded by gorgeous lighting which makes the scene look more dynamic.
